Oklahoma offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley says the quarterback battle is still locked in a three-way tussle. Normally not something fans want to hear this close to the season kickoff, Riley explained that it isn’t such a bad thing.

“They’re all playing well, honestly,” Riley said. “They’re making it hard on Coach Stoops and I and the rest of the staff. They’re all three still repping equally.”

Stoops echoed that sentiment.

“They’ve all gotten better,” Stoops said. “You can tell how much more comfortable they are in what they’re doing, they’re all more consistent with their reads. I feel like you could win with all of them.”

Either Trevor Knight, Baker Mayfield or Cody Thomas will start for the Sooners on Sept. 5th against Akron.
