Two airmen stationed at Tinker Air Force Base have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Staff Sergeant Elijah Langshorne and Staff Sergeant Steven Bailey are both charged in military court. Langshorne is also charged with attempted murder.

Investigators said Langshorne set a woman's house on fire in January, 2014, while she was inside it. Air Force documents said the two airmen then conspired to kill the same woman again in March, 2015.

“We have great confidence in our military justice system which holds military members accountable for their actions and provides a fair and efficient process for just resolutions in all cases,” said Col. Stephanie Wilson, 72nd Air Base Wing commander. “It is important to point out that a charge is merely an accusation. The sergeants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.”

Both Sergeants are assigned to the 72nd Security Force Squadron at Tinker.  Langhorne’s trial is scheduled for November 12 – 20, 2015, with Bailey’s trail scheduled for January 4 – 8, 2016.
