Authorities Investigate Inmate's Stabbing Death At Holdenville Prison
HOLDENVILLE, Oklahoma - Authorities are investigating an inmate’s stabbing death at a prison in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, it happened at about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis Correctional Facility, located at 6888 E. 133rd Road in Holdenville.
Authorities said inmate Silas Royal, 33, stabbed another inmate, 36-year-old Lewis Hamilton, to death.
Royal is serving time for multiple offenses, including first-degree manslaughter and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Hamilton was serving a life without parole sentence for first-degree murder, according to the DOC.
