July is history and August starts with "less hot" temperatures and chances for showers and storms!

Saturday, high temperatures will stay well below normal out west with upper 80s and a light south wind. The rest of the state will rise into the low and mid-90s. Humidity will still be an issue, so expect an uncomfortable afternoon.

Scattered showers and storms will develop in western Oklahoma later Saturday morning into the afternoon. Widespread severe weather isn't expected, but a few strong storms are possible with heavy downpours and gusty winds. Chances are less in central OK, but not zero. We'll have another chance for scattered showers and storms in roughly the same areas on Sunday.

Looking ahead, another storm system arrives and brings likely our best chance of rain this week. One to one and a half inches of rain will be possible in northern Oklahoma! We will still have hot temperatures this week, too. While we haven't seen an 100 degree day so far in 2015, we still have all of August to go!
