Police Respond After Metro Boy, 10, Shot In Face

Emergency crews are on the scene of a shooting with a juvenile victim east of the metro, Thursday afternoon.

First responders were called out to the scene at a home in the 10000 block of E. Draper Ave., south of NE 23rd St. and N. Westminster Rd., just before 2:30 p.m.

News 9 is told the victim is a 10-year-old boy. His condition is not known at this time. Nicoma Park Police are working to determine whether or not the shooting was accidental.

Authorities believe the victim is the son of one of the contractors working on a home in the area. Police are not sure where the gun came from. The homeowners were not present at the time of the shooting.
