Police are looking to identify the parents or guardians of toddler who was found wandering alone in the parking lot of an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

OKC Police received a call just after noon in reference to a found child at a complex located near the 4000 block of N. Drexel Blvd. The caller told police that they witnessed a man driving a white pickup pull into the complex, let the child out and drive off.

The boy is believed to be approximately 2-years-old. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans and was not wearing shoes. Officers searched the area but could not find a guardian. They also checked with other law enforcement agencies to see if they had any reports on a missing child, but no information was found.

The child was safely transferred into the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Police hope to locate the child’s parents or guardians soon as well as identify the person who left him at the apartment complex.
