Crab And Corn Chowder
5 slices of bacon, chopped
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/2 stick butter
4 baked potatoes (peeled and diced)
2 1/2 cups fresh corn kernels
2 cans crab meat
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning
In a large stockpot sauté the bacon, onions, green pepper, and celery in melted butter. Once the veggies are tender, pour in the chicken stock, corn, Old May Seasoning, potatoes and crab meat. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the whipping cream and heat for an additional 10 minutes. Serve with crusty bread and a green salad.
