Big weekend coming up, well I guess it depends on who you ask.

Big weekend coming up, well I guess it depends on who you ask.

It's Father's Day weekend, and according to several surveys we dads kind of get short shrift compared to Moms.

One survey found that only 73 percent of Americans plan to give their dad a Father's Day present, while 83 percent say they gave mom a present for Mother's Day.

Not only that but those surveyed who said they will get dear old Dad a present intend to spend about $57 on it, while they dropped $85 on Mom.

Dad's we've got to get a new PR firm or something, or maybe we can alternate Mother's Day and Father's Day, for instance next year Father's Day comes first so that everyone's not tapped out from vacation and other summer expenses.

Just kidding, most dads don't really care about the presents. In fact, I'm proud to say for my fellow dads the survey shows their number one most wanted Father's Day present is to spend time with the family!

That was followed by gift cards, clothing, and large electronics.

So if you want to hit a real home run kids, I'd love to spend family time with you all weekend watching the US Open on a new 100 inch TV.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
