Metro Golf Pro Helps OKC Police Bust Alleged Criminals
OKLAHOMA CITY - An area golf pro teamed up with Oklahoma City police to nab two men with extensive criminal records a few weeks ago.
Police said it happened at Lincoln Park Golf Course in northeast Oklahoma City on May 29.
Duke Potter said red flags flew up with 31-year-old Jarod Dail and 25-year-old Colton Ama walked into Lincoln Park's Pro Shop around 6 p.m. Potter said Ama used a woman's credit card to buy an expensive outfit, he then changed into it, before he and Dail headed out onto the course in a golf cart. Potter said a short-time later, a man called and said his wife's credit card had been stolen, yet someone had just used it to purchase items at Lincoln Park. Potter called police, who found and arrested Dail and Ama on the golf course a short time later.
“As soon as they walked in I could tell something weird was going on,” Potter said.
Police said a neighbor of the woman who that credit card belongs to recently reported to police seeing two men fitting these suspects' descriptions rummaging through that woman's mailbox.
