Oklahoma City police investigated a bomb threat at Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) Tuesday evening.

The bomb squad responded to the scene. Authorities had the entire campus blocked off.

According to an OCCC spokesperson, a threat was called in to the library just after 5 p.m. The library was cleared and OCPD was called. Then, out of an abundance of caution the entire campus was shut down. OCPD did a sweep of the library and the campus was cleared around 7:30 p.m.

OCPD believe this might have been an incident where a prank call was placed in an attempt to get police SWAT to raid a location.

Congressman Steve Russell, R-Oklahoma City was on campus at the time of the threat and was extracted from the location.
