Canadian Co. Sheriff’s Child Sex Sting Lands Mustang Man In Jail
MUSTANG, Oklahoma - Canadian County Sheriff's Office's child sex sting landed a Mustang, Oklahoma, man behind bars. Authorities said he attempted to meet a deputy, who was posing as a 14-year-old girl, for sex.
According to the Sheriff's office, members of the Sheriff Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested 32-year-old Tyler Davis at his home after a 2-week investigation culminated when he made arrangements with an undercover Sheriff's deputy posing to be an under-aged female to have sex.
Davis, a registered nurse working at OU Medical Center, was home for the day with his own children when investigators knocked on the door. Deputies said Davis provided a full confession to investigators, admitting he friendship-requested the undercover deputy on a popular social media Internet site believing her to be a 14-year-old girl living in the Yukon and Mustang area.
Over the course of a 2-week period, deputies said Davis engaged in extremely graphic sex talk with the “under-aged girl,” discussing what types of sex he would like to engage in with her, and her friend.
“Not only was he willing to meet up with one under-aged child for sex, but Davis wanted my Deputy to bring her make-believe under-aged friend with her so they could have a threesome,” said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.
Davis aggressively pursued the “girl” for sex, and when he told the girl where he lived, deputies went and picked him up before he had the chance to victimize a real child, according to the Sheriff's office.
The Canadian County Sheriff's Office works its Internet Crimes Against Children program as Task Force Members of the Oklahoma State Bureau Investigation, and is assisted by the United States Secret Service with polygraph examinations.
Davis was transported to the Canadian County Jail and booked on two counts of soliciting sex with a minor. He was able to post bond of $100,00.00 and was released on Saturday.
