Police: Moore Restaurant Manager Stabbed While Fighting With Robber

Moore police said the manager of a Long John Silver's restaurant was stabbed while trying to fight off a robber Wednesday morning.

It happened at a Long John Silver's restaurant at 1100 N. Moore Avenue. According to police, officers received a 911 call just after 9 a.m. from a worker inside the restaurant, saying the manager had been stabbed.

Officers said a suspect went to take the deposit bag at the restaurant, and the manager fought with him. The suspect then stabbed the manager in the stomach with an ice pick like device.

The manager has superficial wounds but was taken to the hospital to be checked out, according to police.

Right now, investigators are trying to determine if this was an inside job or something else. An area manager for Long John Silver's told News 9 they do have surveillance cameras inside the store, but he doesn't know if they were working at the time.

Police said the suspect is still at large. A suspect description has not been released.
