Forecasts calling for more rain have folks all across the metro worrying about more flooding.

Oklahoma City Public Works tells News 9 they are monitoring a large concrete drainage canal that runs through the Wimberly Estates Neighborhood in Southwest Oklahoma City.

Neighbors say water that has been flowing underneath and around the canal has caused erosion that is dangerously close to nearby homes.

Buddy Leser lives a few houses from the canal.

“I think it's critical. I mean, I feel sorry for my neighbors here. They're so close to this ditch. Now the next five days we're going to get a lot more rain.”

Public Works Spokesperson Shannon Cox tells News 9 the city is working on a plan to repair the canal.
