Oklahoma City police are looking for a man who is accused of impersonating a detective.

According to police, on April 2, officers responded to the report of a man pretending to be an OKCPD detective in the 9000 block of Salsbury Lane.

The victim's garage door was open, and the suspect was walking up to the garage when the victim confronted him. The suspect then told the victim that he was a detective and showed her some type of small metal badge. He then left the scene, according to police.

Police believe the suspect was there to burglarize the garage at the time he was confronted.

On Wednesday, May 6, police released a surveillance video taken of him from a distance. It is hard to see his face. But police said you can get a good look at his body type, clothing and his car.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
