CHOCTAW, Oklahoma - Kristen Betz, 42, kept silent and walked quickly away with her son to the car after posting a $10,000 bond. The married mother of four refused to answer any questions about the allegations against her.

Betz stands accused of second degree rape for a reported sexual relationship she had with a 17-year-old student.

“There were multiple locations throughout Oklahoma County,” said Mark Myers with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. “Primarily parking lots of different businesses is where these incidents would take place.”

The superintendent at Choctaw Nicoma Park schools confirmed Betz was a science teacher at Choctaw High School and had been a teacher for them for the past three years. She was suspended Wednesday, after information surfaced at the school about the alleged affair. School administrators contacted the police.

“The school got information from a number of sources,” said Myers.

Right now, authorities believe there was only one student involved and that most of the sexual encounters took place inside their cars at multiple locations in Oklahoma County. There are also reports that the two also shared several inappropriate texts.

Court papers filed late Thursday afternoon stated text messages between the two included things like “kiss me, miss me and I love you”.

When police questioned Betz, she admitted to texting with the student and confessed some of those texts were sexual in nature.
