Police Identify Man Killed In NW OKC Shooting
OKLAHOMA CITY - Police have identified a man who was killed in a shooting at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment.
According to police, at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the report of a shooting at the Summer Oaks Apartments, located near N.W. 16th and MacArthur.
Officers arrived and located the victim, later identified as 19-year-old Kionty Fields, in a breezeway of the complex. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to police, the shooter was still on scene when officers arrived. He was interviewed by investigators, but at this time has not been arrested or charged in connection with this crime.
At this time, on its surface, police said it appears to possibly be a case of self-defense. The case will be turned over to the District Attorney's Office when the investigation is complete. They will make the determination as to whether charges are filed.
