Get your vocal chords warmed up. The "Sing-a-Long Sound of Music" show is coming to Oklahoma City's Myriad Gardens on Saturday, May 16.

The event, presented by Bold Leego Enterprises, Inc. and City Rentals LLC, will take place on the Great Lawn and Band Shell. Pre-show begins at 8 p.m. and the film begins at 9 p.m.

Organizers said this is an outdoor event under the stars, so bring your blankets, folding chairs and ice chest with food and beverage. Costumes are suggested!

Having started in the UK back in 1999, the Sing-a-Long Sound of Music show has now become a worldwide hit, playing to packed houses across the globe with over 10,000 performances in 11 different countries. It's even filled the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles seven times, according to event organizers.

Sing-a-Long Sound of Music is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in full-screen technicolor, complete with subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along.

The fun-filled show starts with a vocal warm-up led by the evening's host, who also takes the audience through their complimentary ‘magic moments fun-pack', containing various props to be used at strategic points throughout the film.

There is also the famous fancy-dress competition in which everyone who has come in costume is invited onto the stage to show off their fantastic tailoring skills.

Admission to the event is free with VIP paid seating available for purchase.
