NORMAN, Oklahoma - The eighth annual Norman Music Festival is set to kickoff this weekend, featuring one day and three nights of art and music of many genres.

The free event runs from Thursday night thru Saturday in downtown Norman and includes both indoor and outdoor venues.

Headlining the event is Ra Ra Riot, Nadastrom, Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires and many many more.

NMF hosts over 300 bands and draws tens of thousands of spectators to the streets of Norman. More than 1,000 musicians, artists and other performers take part in the event that generates approximately $5-million for the city.

Events start Thursday at 5:45 p.m. and run thru 1 a.m., on Friday at 4 p.m. thru 1 a.m. and on Saturday at 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The Norman Music Festival is a 100% volunteer run nonprofit entity
