In a move that caught Broncho fans by surprise, head basketball coach Terry Evans announced his resignation after 13 seasons at the helm. Evans is the all-time winningest coach in Broncho men's basketball history with 263 wins and a .680 winning percentage.

He led UCO to seven national tournament appearances, one Sweet 16 and one Elite Eight. The Bronchos won six division titles and two league titles in the Lone Star Conference. During his tenure he has coached 17 all-conference players and three All-Americans.

Evans guided the Bronchos to a school-record 30 wins in 2010-11. They finished that season ranked No. 4 nationally.

Evans came to UCO in 2002 from OU where he was the director of basketball operations during the Sooners' Final Four run that year. As a player he was a four-year starter for Billy Tubbs at Oklahoma from 1989-93.
