Coal County Murder Suspect Dies In Shootout With Police

A Coal County man suspected of killing his brother, died in a shootout with law enforcement, Friday night.

A Coal County man suspected of killing his brother, died in a shootout with law enforcement, Friday night. 

A first degree murder warrant was issued for that suspect,  Tyrel Vick, 34, early Friday.

According to OSBI, a welfare check was requested at the home Tyrel and his brother Naman Vick, 39, shared at 1690 County Road 1750. Naman was found inside the home dead. OSBI agents gathered evidence that Tyrel committed the murder.

Friday evening Tyrel was seen driving his murdered brother's pickup. He led officers on a chase before crashing at Highway 31B near Onley. Tyrel fired a gun at the officers and they returned fire. Tyrel died at the scene.
