OKC Man Accused Of Stabbing Woman Previously Arrested For Arson
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police have identified a man who jumped off a bridge into the Oklahoma River after allegedly stabbing a woman on Interstate 35.
Authorities say 22-year-old Christian Hillard has been arrested on a complaint of domestic assault with a deadly weapon.
Police say Hillard began arguing with a woman inside a vehicle they were traveling in about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. He allegedly stabbed the woman in the vehicle and then continued stabbing her after she got out of the car and tried to escape on foot. The name of the woman was not released.
The man leaped into the river and injured himself when motorists stopped to help the woman. Oklahoma City fire crews pulled him from the river.
Hillard and the woman were treated at a nearby hospital.
Court documents revealed Hillard was also arrested for the crime of Arson on Wednesday, March 4. A probable cause affidavit showed Hillard had reportedly set an apartment unit on fire after stating he was upset with his girlfriend and other tenants. The apartments are located at 627 N.W. 5th Street in Oklahoma City.
