The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake near Guthrie Monday morning.
The 3.9 magnitude quake shook the area 4 miles east of Guthrie and 17 miles north, northeast of Edmond at 3:50 a.m., according to the USGS. The earthquake was more than three miles deep, the USGS said.
Another morning earthquake was reported 7 miles east, northeast of Cherokee. The USGS reports a 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck at 6:54 a.m. and was about three miles deep.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
