Old Man Winter decided he wasn't finished with Oklahoma just yet, so read on to see News 9's Weekend Meteorologist Matt Mahler's latest forecast for Sunday evening and Sunday night's winter precipitation.

Remember, the forecast can still change, especially in terms of what kind of precipitation will fall where. It's one of those "fine temperature line" situations.

Sunday afternoon, light precipitation will start falling. Northern Oklahoma, expect primarily a light freezing rain/sleet/snow mix. For central and southern Oklahoma, we'll start with light drizzle and rain. Road conditions will start to deteriorate first in northern Oklahoma.

Sunday evening and Sunday night is when we'll start to see more widespread road issues. The temperatures will drop and the precipitation will increase and start to change across more of the state.

Look for primarily light snow in far northern Oklahoma, a sleet/freezing rain mix through central, southwest and northeast Oklahoma, freezing rain just southeast of OKC, and still mainly rain in far S and SE Oklahoma. This is when roads will start to become slippery for OKC and central Oklahoma.

The winter mix will continue overnight into early Monday morning. Roads will be slick throughout northern, central, and southern Oklahoma.

Monday morning, the precipitation starts winding down. It's hard to tell if there will be a definitive "shutoff" or a gradual end to the precipitation.

If there's even a little freezing precipitation still falling Monday morning, expect the road problems to continue. Just because the precipitation starts ending, doesn't mean the roads are automatically fine.

Sleet amounts could reach 1/2" to 1" across central Oklahoma with up to 1/10th of an inch of ice. Those amounts may change, but that's in the latest data.

As mentioned at the beginning of this update, this forecast is very fluid and prone to change a little more throughout Sunday, so please stay tuned for updates!
