GUTHRIE, Oklahoma - The Logan County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in the kidnapping and beating of a man Wednesday.

Three warrants were served at residences in the 11000 block of Anna Lane in Guthrie in reference to the kidnapping and beating of a male victim last Sunday.

Authorities said the motivation for the kidnapping and beating was the unwelcome advances of the victim to the girlfriend of one of the suspects.

The male victim was beaten in the head while being detained at knife-point. He was then forced to withdraw money from an ATM to give to the suspects. Then he was released.

During the searches at 11150, 11151, and 11175 Anna Lane in Guthrie, authorities seized several stolen firearms. Also, authorities found drugs and safes with unknown contents.

One suspect, Michael Chester Robinson Jr., was taken into custody on kidnapping, robbery, assault, firearm and drug related charges.

Robinson has a record of similar charges that include arrests for threats of violence.

Authorities said more arrests relating to the warrants can be expected.
