Oklahomans To Vote On School Issues, New MWC Mayor

The polls are open to Oklahoma voters Tuesday morning and a number of big issues are on the ballot. One city in the metro will elect a new mayor. There's also a number of school issues for voters to decide on.

The polls are open to Oklahoma voters Tuesday morning and a number of big issues are on the ballot. One city in the metro will elect a new mayor. There's also a number of school issues for voters to decide on.

In Edmond, a $90.6 million bond issue is on the ballot. If approved, it would fund safe rooms in each public school. Also, some of the money would held build a stadium at each high school and to add new classrooms and materials, like books.

Several districts will vote for new school board members, including Edmond, Harrah, Luther, McLoud and Moore.

Midwest City is voting for a new mayor. This comes after Jack Fry won a seat in the State Senate. On the ballot are Jay Dee Collins and Mark Deshazo.
