Warr Acres Police Post Sign On Suspected Drug Dealer's Home

Warr Acres police sent a strong message through a handwritten sign they posted on a suspected drug dealer's home. The sign read, "Dopeman is out of business."

Neighbors said traffic in and out of the home before he was shut down was constant.

“There were cars coming to the house about every 20 minutes all hours of the day all hours of the night. It got pretty crazy,” one neighbor told News 9.

Warr Acres police began their investigation stemming from those complaints.

“It was a little bit like there was a waiting line sometimes, like different cars would be pulled up. And there would be guys waiting outside the door,” the neighbor said.

According a search warrant News 9 obtained, detectives found several sandwich bags one with "OG Green" written across it, a hand drawn picture that said "WEED," and seeds and stems believed to be marijuana in the trash can outside the home

The court document continued, saying following the raid on the home last Thursday investigators found drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, more sandwich bags one even labeled "crack" on the front, and substances believed to be drugs.

Police arrested 19-year-old Aaron Phelps for a slew of drug charges

But before leaving police decided to post this message on the garage, “Dopeman is out of business. If you have any questions contact the Warr Acres police.”

“We just want to put a message out to his clientele that he is out of business. Go somewhere else,” said Detective Sergeant John Gray, Warr Acres police.

Neighbors welcomed the message and humor.

“It was kind of bad, but it was hilarious,” said the neighbor.

Warr Acres police decided not only to post that sign on the home but also on Twitter, to make sure everyone in the community knew they're watching.

At last check, Phelps was still being held in the Oklahoma County Jail on a $15,500 dollar bond.
