Edmond police have canceled a Silver Alert after a missing man returned home safely Thursday morning.

According to police, at about 9:30 a.m., Ronald Donaldson left his house located at 512 Sparrow Hawk. He was supposed to be en route to his doctor's office near the Mercy Hospital on Memorial.

Edmond Police said Donaldson's credit card was used at a Muskogee Truck Stop at 12:46 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers are working with law enforcement in that area to try and locate him.

At around 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers said Ronald Donaldson used his credit card in Norman. He was reportedly asking for directions to Mercy Hospital. Police said he was last seen driving northbound on I-35 from Robinson.

Donaldson was possibly wearing dark clothing. He stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. Police said he has moderate dementia and has no cell phone on him.
