A woman and a four-year-old girl were killed in a two-vehicle collision in Payne County, Oklahoma, Monday morning.

It happened at 7:15 a.m. on Norfolk Road, just north of Fairlawn about a mile east and two miles north of Cushing city limits in Payne County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2001 4-door Honda driven by 25-year-old Megan Danielle Harris of Cushing, was northbound on Norfolk Road at a high rate of speed when for an unknown reason, it ran off the roadway to the right.

Troopers said Harris over-corrected to the left, and the car went into the southbound lane. It was then struck by a 2000 GMC pickup driven by 40-year-old Roy Dale McCall of Yale, Oklahoma.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene from head and trunk internal injuries. Troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Her body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City.

A passenger in Harris' vehicle, a 4-year-old girl, was also pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers said the child was also not wearing a seat belt. Authorities have not released the girl's identity. Her body has been transported to the ME's office as well.

McCall was not injured.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
