Suspect Shot During Shawnee Home Invasion Returns To Hospital
OKLAHOMA CITY - A Shawnee home invasion suspect, who walked out of the OU Medical Center while being treated for a gunshot wound, has returned to the hospital Monday morning.
According to Shawnee police, the suspect, Justin Harjo, was shot in the chest during a home invasion. He was rushed to OU Medical Center where he was in critical condition for about six weeks.
But when Harjo got out of ICU and was transferred to another room, against the advice of his doctors, Harjo decided he was well enough and checked himself out of the hospital, according to police.
Earlier on Monday morning, police said Harjo was feeling ill again and re-admitted himself to the hospital. There are now guards in place keeping an eye on him.
