A Washington County judge set a November 21, 2014 court appearance for a man accused of stealing 57 iPhones from ConocoPhillips in Bartlesville.
Cody Templeton, 30, is charged with second-degree burglary, tampering with a security camera and knowingly concealing stolen property.
According to a court affidavit, ConocoPhillips reported that on three occasions beginning in August 2013 and through November 2014, someone stole iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6+s worth $37,050 from a locked supply closet in an office building.
The affidavit stated a ConocoPhillips investigator discovered a security camera used to monitor a dead-end hallway where the closet was located had been tampered with knocking it offline. Surveillance video recorded prior to at least two the thefts showed Cody Templeton within minutes of the camera going offline, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit says Templeton worked for ConocoPhillips as a contract cleaning worker.
On November 6, 2014, police searched Templeton's home and found an iPhone reported stolen in 2013, $4,000 in a closet, $1,300 in cash on Templeton and two sets of lock picking tools.
During a court hearing on November 12, 2014, a judge ordered Cody Templeton to be held on $37,000 bond.
