Four Sooners scored in double digits as the No. 19/19 Oklahoma men's basketball team topped Southwestern Oklahoma State 78-37 in its second and final exhibition game Tuesday night inside McCasland Field House.

Junior Isaiah Cousins and sophomore Frank Booker paced the Sooners with 15 points apiece on 6-for-11 and 6-for-10 shooting from the floor, respectively. Cousins also grabbed seven rebounds while Booker added five. Junior Ryan Spangler scored 11 points and classmate Buddy Hield netted 10.

For the second straight game, Spangler and freshman Khadeem Lattin each posted double-digit rebounds, finishing with 10 apiece. As a team, OU registered a commanding 55-30 rebounding advantage.

The Sooners shot 48.5 percent from the field (32 for 66), 30.4 percent from 3-point range (7 for 23) and 77.8 percent from the free throw line (7 for 9). OU held SWOSU to 24.1 percent field goal and 14.8 percent (4 for 27) 3-point shooting.

"I thought for the second exhibition game we took some steps that you would hope to see," said fourth-year OU head coach Lon Kruger. "The defense was good from start to finish. Southwestern State is very active, athletic and quick. They move the ball, they move themselves and cut hard. It was good work for us to get in that kind of action offensively.

"We did a good job on the boards. I thought we converted rebounds into transition very quickly and made a lot of good plays for each other on the offensive end. We shot a little bit better than we did the other night and that was good to see as well."

OU jumped to a 7-0 lead and built a 43-18 halftime advantage. In the second half, the Sooners outscored SWOSU, an NCAA Division II team from Weatherford, by a 35-19 count.

The Sooners return to action Sunday when they open the regular season against Southeastern Louisiana. The game will be start at 2 p.m. CT inside Lloyd Noble Center.
