The bomb squad was called to an Oklahoma City hotel Thursday morning after police found a grenade in a car.

According to police, a hand grenade was found in a vehicle outside the Holiday Inn, located at S.W. 15th and Meridian.

Police said the vehicle is connected to a robbery investigation from earlier Thursday morning, and officers were able to track the car to the Holiday Inn by using the GPS software on a stolen cell phone.

Police arrested three people, 31-year-old Shane Beiter, 24-year-old Jennifer Beaver, and 21-year-old Brandon McIntyre, in connection to the stolen phone.

The victim told police that he was in the driveway of Isola Bella apartments when Beiter approached him and asked to borrow his phone.

However, while using the phone, the victim said Beiter grabbed him in a headlock and threw him on the ground. Beiter then ran to a truck and it went westbound on 63rd.

The victim tracked his phone to the Holiday Inn. Officers responded and searched the suspect vehicle. They found the stolen phone and a hand grenade in the truck.

The hotel was never evacuated and police have cleared the scene.
