Officials: Lightning Sparks Tank Battery Fire In Blanchard

Firefighters have put out a large tank battery fire in Blanchard early Monday morning.

The Naples Fire Department, with the assistance from the Blanchard Fire Department, worked to douse the blaze.

Photos posted to the Blanchard FD Facebook page showed at least one tank engulfed in flames with several emergency vehicles around it. This is a half mile past Sara Road on Highway 62.

Fire officials said a lightning strike sparked the fire. No one was injured.
