The United States Geological Survey reported an earthquake near Luther, Friday morning.

A 3.3 magnitude quake was reported at 11:18 a.m., nine miles northeast of Luther and 19 miles east, southeast of Guthrie. The depth was less than three miles, according to the USGS.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
