RELATED STORY: Hill's Kick Return TD Helps Cowboys Run Past Iowa State

What went well:

OSU continued to excel in the big-play department. Tyreek Hill's 97-yard kick return (more on that below) and Daxx Garman's 40-yard touchdown bomb to Jhajuan Seales both turned the tide of the game. With playmakers like Hill and an arm like Garman's, these types of plays should be the norm in Stillwater.

What didn't:

After looking better and better in the past few weeks, Garman came out and struggled early. Garmann threw two interceptions in the first half, which against a better opponent could have been crippling. To his credit, the junior looked much better in the second half.

What it means:

The Cowboys are 2-0 in conference play and all hopes and dreams are still alive. It's still unclear what the ceiling is for this team, but it's clear that the Pokes are better than some thought that they would be.

OSU MVP:

Desmond Roland takes it home this week. Roland helped wear down the Cyclone defense with 95 yards rushing and two scores. The 95 yards matches Roland's season high that he set against UTSA in week three.

Game-changing moment:

Tyreek Hill's second-half-opening kick return put this ball game away. It came on the heels of Desmond Roland's last-second score in the first half and gave the Cowboys two touchdowns in just 11 seconds of game time. What looked like a 6-6 game at halftime turned into a 20-6 OSU lead before the Cyclones could blink.

What's next:

The Cowboys have a bye next week, err, rather a trip to Kansas. Same thing. The Pokes will look to start 3-0 in the Big 12.
