OKC Police Officer Back On Duty After Year-Long Recovery From Car Crash
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City Police Officer and UFC fighter Matt Grice returned to work at the police department on Thursday, a little more than a year after he received a traumatic brain injury in a car accident.
On Sept. 8, 2013, a distracted driver slammed into the back of Grice's vehicle as it say idle at a stoplight in Shawnee.
Doctors were not initially optimistic he would survive the crash, but Grice has made a remarkable recovery in the last year.
Returning to work marks a major milestone in his recovery.
