The United State Geological Survey reported an earthquake in Garfield County late Monday evening. The 4.2 magnitude quake was more than three miles deep.
The earthquake was reported at 10:01 p.m. 15 miles west, southwest of Perry and 21 miles east, southeast of Enid.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
