Early Morning Earthquakes Shake In Logan County

The United States Geological Survey reported an earthquake in Logan County early Saturday morning. The 3.6 magnitude quake was reported two miles southwest of Guthrie and 13 miles north of Edmond at approximately 7:14 a.m.

The quake was more than three miles deep.

Then, at approximately 7:29 a.m., another earthquake was reported in Logan County. A 3.3 magnitude quake, more than three miles deep shook two miles south of Guthrie and 12 miles north of Edmond.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
