The restaurant chain Jimmy John's is reporting a possible security breach of customer data.

In a press release found on JimmyJohns.com, the Illinois based-chain stated that 216 stores have been affected. Data from debit and credit cards that were swiped at the stores have been compromised, but card info entered online or manually remains secure.

Jimmy John's learned of the possible security incident on July 30, 2014 and hired forensic experts to assist with the investigation.

The possible breach occurred between June 16, 2014 and September 5, 2014. Stolen data may include the cardholder's name, verification code and the card's expiration date.

Jimmy John's says the breach has been contained and that stricter security measures are being implemented to prevent future data breaches.

3 stores in Oklahoma were affected by the possible breach, one in Stillwater, one in Enid and one in Tulsa. To find the full list of locations that may have been affected by the breach, click here.
