HELLO, RAINFALL!
Cool temperatures and cloudy skies are the name of the game today. The rain will slowly wind down into the afternoon, but not before rainfall totals will range from 1/2" to over 2" in some areas! I'll post those rainfall totals tomorrow morning after it ends.
High temperatures will be WAY below normal with some areas staying in the upper 60s and others in the lower 70s. Southeast Oklahoma will still manage some lower 80s.
Looking ahead, the sun will return tomorrow along with highs in the 80s. We'll briefly warm up into the low and mid 90s Monday through Wednesday before our next cold front arrives late Wednesday. This one will bring another chance of showers and thunderstorms through Friday. Highs will take another shot in the arm as they drop into the upper 60s Friday afternoon.
Rainfall and cooler temps just in time for the Oklahoma State Fair. Right on cue. ;]
Fall is just around the corner. I can feel it!
