Tulsa Police quickly arrested a suspect in the city's latest homicide. Harold Brewer has been booked on a first-degree murder complaint. Police believe Brewer, 49, shot a woman to death in Tulsa's 28th homicide of the year.

Police say the victim was shot following an argument in a house full of people in east Tulsa. Police got a 911 call about a shooting at about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of 140th East Avenue.

First responders found the victim in a bedroom, and police say she was already dead. Homicide detectives say there were five people in the house at the time of the shooting.

Dwayne Johnson told us he and his cousin were playing a game in his house across the street early this morning when they heard gunshots.

"So it kind of startled us because we don't ever expect anything like that to happen," he said. "And by the time we got out here, I mean, we looked out here, it was like nothing happened. Everybody was gone."

Brewer ran from the scene after the shooting, according to police. He was later arrested by the department's Mingo Valley Division at 13000 East 21st Street, Sergeant Dave Walker said.

Sergeant Robert Rohloff saw Brewer walking across a parking lot in that area and took him into custody. Brewer had blood stains on the left leg of his blue jeans, the arrest report states.

Brewer admitted to being at the home and shooting the victim with a shotgun, according to police.

Police have not released the victim's name or her relationship to Brewer.

Brewer's car was taken into evidence at the scene, and police found a shotgun and kitchen knife in the backyard of a vacant house next door.
