A 27-year-old Broken Arrow woman is behind bars for driving under the influence and attempting to bribe a county deputy with money and sex so he wouldn’t arrest her, a report says.

According to the arresting deputy, he read Christa Louise Conway the Miranda Warning and received a proposition in return.

“Christa began begging me to let her go,” the officer wrote in a report. “Christa stated ‘I will write you a check for a thousand dollars right now if you let me go.’”

The deputy said he told her that it was a crime to bribe law enforcement and she replied “no one has to know,” according to the report. She then reportedly offered him oral sex, then sex in exchange for her freedom.

The deputy said he initiated the traffic stop when Conway made a wide right turn from 41st Street to Memorial Drive about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, but with his lights and sirens on, she kept driving until she eventually struck a curb, according to the report.

Conway smelled like alcohol, had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech, he said.

Conway reportedly admitted to drinking and taking Xanax before driving. When she was asked to step out of her vehicle for field sobriety testing, she was unsteady on her feet, the deputy wrote.

Conway was placed into custody and secured with a seatbelt in the patrol car, but then she opened the door and yelled at the deputy, the report says.

She shouted “f--- you. I’m not going to jail,” then ran, the report says. With the deputy chasing her, she fell to the ground and was escorted back to the car, he said. According to the report, Conway was examined by EMSA paramedics and released for transport to jail.

Conway refused a breath test, then she offered the officer money and sex, the report said.

She was booked into the Tulsa County jail on several complaints, including DUI- second offense, failure to keep in proper lane, obstruction/interference with officer, escape from arrest and bribing an officer.

She is being held in lieu of $11,600 bond.
