Several Independence Day Celebrations Scheduled Across The Metro

If you're looking to take the family out for a full day of fun and fireworks, we've got a list of 4th of July celebrations happening right around the metro.

Independence Day will be here soon, and many are purchasing their fireworks and stocking up on groceries for a backyard party. But if you're looking to take the family out for a full day of fun and fireworks, we've got a list of 4th of July celebrations happening right around the metro.

Blanchard

Blanchard's Independence Celebration

July 3 - 6 p.m.

From 6 to 10 p.m. on July 3, News 9's storm trackers Marty Logan, Alan Broerse, Val and Amy Castor, and Hank and Patty Brown will be at the celebration and will be available to meet with celebration guests. The celebration also features the Oklahoma City Symphonic Band and Banana Seat on Stage, 32 different vendors, games, kids zone, helicopter rides, 300' zip line, mobile bull ride, pony rides and more.

Edmond

LibertyFest

June 26 – July 4

Fourth of July parade begins at 9 a.m. in downtown Edmond. ParkFest begins at 6:30 p.m. on the UCO campus with inflatables, games, entertainment and a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

El Reno

Freedom Fest at Lake El Reno

Activities include beach volleyball, swimming, fishing, boating and live music. Beginning at 6 p.m., take part in zip line activities, inflatables for the kids and live music. The fireworks display is set to music and will begin at dusk. 

Midwest City

Tribute to Liberty

July 4 - 6 p.m.

The event takes place in the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, located at Reno Ave. and Douglas Blvd. and features concerts, food vendors, children's activities (small fee) and a fireworks display starting at 9:45 p.m.

Families are encouraged to bring picnic dinner baskets, blankets and lawn chairs.

Moore

A Celebration In The Heartland

10 a.m. - 10 p.m.

This free event at Buck Thomas Park features a variety of food vendors and entertainment including inflatables, children's tent, arts and crafts, car and bike show, wineries, sand volleyball tournament, live music and fireworks display.

Norman

Norman Day Celebration

4 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

This free event is at Reave's Park and includes live bands, food booths, baby crawl, nickel find, moon bounces, pony rides and more before fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. 

Oklahoma City

Red, White & Boom

July 3

Join the Oklahoma City Philharmonic at State Fair Park for an evening of popular and patriotic music. Bring your lawn chairs for the outdoor concert on the Bandshell Stage beginning at 8:30 p.m. Fireworks show begins at 10 p.m. Concessions will be available and gates open at 6:30 p.m.

Bricktown

Bricktown 4th Fest

July 4 - 4 p.m. at the corner of Sheridan and Oklahoma

The fest includes live music and fireworks, starting at 9:30 p.m. Also, catch an OKC RedHawks game that night beginning at 7:05 p.m. 

Seminole

4th of July Festival

July 4 - 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Seminole Municipal Park

The festival includes a food tent, games, inflatables, live music and a fireworks display. 

Yukon

Freedom Fest

July 3-4

Freedom Fest activities begin at 5 p.m. on July 3 at Chisholm Trail Park with live outdoor concerts by The Rodeo Opry and patriotic music by Irv Wagner's Concert Band. Enjoy free frozen custard and a fireworks show that will pay tribute to American veterans at 10 p.m.

Festivities on July 4 kick off at 8 a.m. with the annual Cherry Bomb Triathlon and a sand art contest. Throughout the day enjoy a parade, car show, craft tent, inflatables, swimming at City Splash, live music and entertainment and a variety of family activities and games at City Park. Evening events on July 4 at Chisholm Trail Park and Gazebo include free watermelon and ice cream, a live concert, hot dog eating contest and more. The finale on July 4 features a free concert at the Gazebo by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic at 8:30 p.m. and concludes with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
