4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes OKC Metro

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake has rattled parts of the Oklahoma City metro early Wednesday morning, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake has rattled parts of the Oklahoma City metro early Wednesday morning, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

The quake happened at 5:53 a.m. and shook the News 9 studios in northeast Oklahoma City.   The U.S. Geological Survey says it was centered five miles north of Spencer.

An earlier quake was reported at 5:30 a.m. four miles southeast of Edmond.  That quake was a 2.7, according to the USGS.

This is the latest in a series of quakes in the last 24 hours.  At 2:08 a.m. a 3.0 quake was reported near Langston.

Just before midnight, earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.7 was reported near Edmond, Jones and Spencer.
