People are confused why President Obama swapped 5 Taliban commanders locked up at Gitmo for one American infantryman who's been held in captive in Afghanistan/Pakistan for 5 years.

We're all glad an American is no longer being held hostage, but at what cost?

Some things to consider.

According to Pentagon sources and many members of his own unit Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl deserted his post in Afghanistan and crossed enemy lines when he was seized by the Taliban, this after he'd reportedly expressed disillusionment with the American mission in Afghanistan.

Through the years at least 6 soldiers have given their lives searching for him.

On the flip side, we released these 5 Taliban commanders from Gitmo who are now even more motivated to kill Americans.

In 2008 the Pentagon said these particular guys are a high risk to launch attacks against the U-S. One for five, and for that we broke our long established policy of not negotiating with terrorists or hostage takers.

And our supposed safety net is that they're going to stay in Qatar for the next year, right?

Yes, obviously if it was my son I'd want him back, desperately, but the President has taken an oath to protect the country as a whole, has he done that by freeing these 5 sworn enemies?

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
