Elderly OKC Man Arrested, Accused Of Stabbing Family Member

An elderly Oklahoma City man was arrested after police say he stabbed a family member while she was sleeping early Thursday morning.

According to police, at about 6 a.m., officers responded to the incident at a home in the 1200 block of S.E. 21st Street.

Police say 89-year-old Edward Hope stabbed a family member while she was sleeping. The 61-year-old victim has been transported to the hospital, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

Hope was taken into custody on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.
