OKLAHOMA CITY -- We have a mild start Monday morning with most of the state reporting 60s temperatures.

As the day continues, we will notice the wind on the rise. You can expect 20-30mph winds and a warm afternoon.

Afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s in central Oklahoma with 90s in western Oklahoma. Sunny skies with a UV index of 9 can give you a sunburn quick if you stay out in the sun for 30 minutes or longer.

We are only about one month away from official summer and the UV index will start maxing out soon.

Monday night, it will be warm and windy with overnight lows in the upper 60s. The rest of the week will be sunny, hot and breezy with some serious rain and thunderstorm chances coming late week and over the Memorial Day weekend.

So stay with News 9 all week as we watch this rain event unfold.
