Emergency responders had their hands full with multiple-vehicle collisions on highways around the Oklahoma City metro, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities were first called to three separate accidents, all on the northbound lanes of I-44, just north of SW 15th St.

Bob Mills SkyNews 9 HD flew over the scene. Pilot Jim Gardner reported just south of the Oklahoma River, three vehicles were involved in a collision.

A short distance away, on the north side of the river, crews are responding to two more collisions. One involves two vehicles, and the other one involves three vehicles and a motorcycle.

Then around 3:30 p.m. crews were called to a three-car accident on the northbound lanes of Broadway ext. near the NW 50th St. exit.

Traffic was blocked in both areas while crews worked to clear the scenes. An ambulance responded to the scene of the first accident, but there has been no official word on injuries at this time.
