Kevin Durant's tearful MVP acceptance speech Tuesday was one of the most compelling I've ever seen by an athlete. And I warned people during My 2 Cents to grab a tissue. After KD's remarks about his mom no surprise that most of our comments are from women.
Gwen first: "Grab a tissue?......Grab a box of tissues.."
Nancy in Midwest City: "…had all of us moms bawling like a bunch of babies! Love him!!"
From Kelly: "When he said his momma was the MVP and talking about their struggles I lost it."
Cari in Moore writes: "Love a man who's not afraid to show his heart and/or emotion!!"
Tonia from Edmond says: "I was traveling today for work, sitting in Memphis traffic listening to this Godly young man speak, ‘ugly crying' and praising The Lord that OKC is lucky enough to have such an amazing man in our city."
Bea writes: "Such a humble young man. I loved how he gave praise to God!! Thank you KD for representing our city."
Ann from Del City: "I was out there and it moved everyone standing outside."
Debbie in Paoli: "He is a perfect example for young athletes to follow."
Tina writes from Harrah: "Love KD even more after that amazing speech!!"
Finally from Donna in Shawnee: "I am not a sports fan…but Kevin could make me one. I watched it twice."
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's YOUR 2 Cents.
