Mothers speak out against bullying at a metro school district, and one mom said she's fed up.

Bullying of her daughter has crossed over to social media, and she even has some of it caught on video.

Deer Creek school officials told News 9 they have a strict policy when it comes to bullying, and they take the allegations very seriously. But Kathy Kuck, the mother of Deer Creek eighth-grader Kaitley Kuck, said so far the consequences haven't been strict enough.

"The goal is that the school will step forward and actually take part in getting rid of this bullying, helping children with that," Kuck said.

Kuck said she just wants Deer Creek school administrators to be aware her daughter Kaitley is not alone, and that bullying is a serious problem across the district.

"There have been videos posted about her, pictures, she's often been told she has a big nose," said Kuck. "There's been a hate page made for her, as well as lots of other kids in the Deer Creek District."

"I just think they're jealous or insecure," Kuck said.

Kaitley said a video about her was posted to the social media web site, "Instagram."

She said two different girls called her names for no reason at all.

"It makes me feel bad about myself," Kuck said.

"It's gotten to the point to where like today, she tells me she's being laughed at and stared at, at school," said Kuck. "That doesn't seem like a big deal, but when it's been going on for a month or longer, it gets to be old."

A student-run Facebook page, dedicated to stopping bullying in Deer Creek schools, has more than 230 followers. It was created March 29, 2014.

"Some great posts by parents on there who talk about their situation and stuff like that," said Kuck. "I think it's going to be a good thing."

A district spokeswoman said in a statement:

"Deer Creek School District takes bullying very seriously. When reports are made, Deer Creek Administration immediately investigates any and all concerns. After the investigation is completed, if it is found that bullying has occurred, appropriate and severe consequences are given. Bullying at any age is unacceptable but becomes more apparent and prevalent at an adolescent age when social media is added to the mix. Deer Creek administrators take many measures which first include prevention and education of students about the severity of bullying. If bullying has occurred, Deer Creek Administration not only gives appropriate and severe consequences but additionally takes extra steps to help and counsel any students and parents involved."

Unfortunately the district cannot comment to specifics of these allegations for privacy reasons, but adamantly disagrees with the accusations being presented.
